The Beacon is proud to support a wide range of community and amateur performance groups. Our Performance Hire Package is designed to offer everything you need to stage a successful event, from technical support to ticketing and front-of-house management — all included in a simple, flat-rate hire.

Performance hire is ideal for:

Amateur theatre companies

Local choirs, orchestras, and brass bands

Self-produced shows not seeking to be part of The Beacon’s curated programme

For £410 (half day) or £630 (full day), your hire includes:

Use of The Ridgeway auditorium

Two dressing rooms

A dedicated technician
-
Use of our in-house lighting and sound stock (equipment list available on request)

Event Manager support in the lead-up

Front of House staffing on the day

Cleaning included
-
Listing on our website and ticketing platform (if applicable)

All public or paid performances must use The Beacon’s in-house box office.
Your ticket income is returned to you after the event, minus:-
15% commission

PRS and card processing fees (if applicable)

£0.50 per-ticket venue levy
We also offer:

Weekly or real-time sales reports

Full box office and customer support
For free, private events (e.g. school plays), you may manage your own ticketing with prior agreement.

If you’re a professional artist or company — including musicians, comedians, tribute acts, or touring theatre — you’ll need to apply to be part of The Beacon’s curated programme.
