Tickets and Booking

Yes, all audience members need a valid ticket to enter a performance or event at The Beacon. If you’re a member of the press, please contact our Box Office to request a complimentary press ticket.

No. Tickets must be paid for at the time of booking. Reservations cannot be held without payment.

- In person: Visit our Box Office during the above hours, or 90 minutes before a performance

We do not charge booking fees for phone or in-person sales. Online bookings carry a flat £2 processing fee per transaction (not per ticket).

No. All tickets are non-refundable. If tickets are lost, customers should notify the Box Office immediately. In the event that a show is sold out, a refund can only be given if the ticket can be sold to a patron on the waiting list.
Access & Facilities

Yes. We are fully accessible for wheelchair users, with:
- Step-free access
- Lift to all floors
- Wheelchair spaces in the Ridgeway Auditorium
- Accessible toilets

Yes. If you require a seat without armrests or a wheelchair space, please call the Box Office in advance and we’ll be happy to reserve a suitable seat for you.

Yes, the Beacon has a hearing loop which can either work with a hearing aid or with our hearing loop packs, which can be borrowed from box office

Yes. Seven disabled parking bays are available directly outside The Beacon in Portway Car Park (OX12 9BU). Parking is free for Blue Badge holders.

Our Box Office is open:
- Monday to Friday: 9am–5pm
- Performance days: From 90 minutes before the show starts until 30 minutes after it begins

Yes, our ground-floor café brought to you by The Wantage Literary Festival. It is fully accessible, with ramp access to outdoor seating. A bar is also available during events and accessible by lift.

Yes, we have five accessible rooms for hire, two of which are equipped with hearing loops. Full details are available on our Hire Us page.

Absolutely! Open Mic Night takes place monthly in the bar on the second Wednesday at 7pm. Email beacon.wantage@whitehorsedc.gov.uk to book a slot.
